MEKONG - VINH LONG HOMESTAY
Mekong Delta is the place which contains many beautifully charming culture features of water way in Vietnam. It is always crucial apart of Vietnam tourism and most of tourist can help travelling some popular destinations in Mekong region which listed on recommended travel guide book(s). This 2 days 1 nights boat trip and take local home stay will bring us to explore major beautiful images of Mekong
PROGRAM DETAILS
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Vinh Long ( L,D )
We departure from hotel in Saigon at 8:30 am, just an hour and half we will be will come at My Tho. Get on our nice private boat, enjoy cruise to four beautiful islands on River of Mekong such as Dragon, Unicorn – Turtle – Phoenix Island . Our first Stop is Phoenix Island, once here we will learn about Coconut Religion and see how is local people making handicrafts productions from coconut. Following is Turtle Island; we will see the process of making coconut candy and taste it out. Then, we will enjoy the peaceful landscape on the horse carriage, drink honey tea, join in the rowing boat and see the water coconut palm in the small canals. Our specialties lunch will be serving at Ben Tre – the kingdom of coconut. Afterwards we return to My Tho for driving to Vinh Long, check in authentic local family house then join in Vietnamese cooking dinner with local people
Day 2: Vinh Long – Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh city ( B,L )
After breakfast we bid farewell our house owner, get on the boat, we will gliding pass Cai Be floating market which is very bustling and colorful of farming productions on boat. Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how rice paste, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn are being made.
Enjoy row boat riding will take us deeper into the lush and everlasting green of country site long the narrow creek and to enjoy the peaceful moment. In the mean time we can see local traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and daily works a make a living of local farmers such as catching, agriculture cultivation, and picking fruits in the garden.
One more stop can be made too, at the tree nursery garden where you will learn how are local villagers grow high quality fruit trees. This is also the best choice for you to contact the real famous farmers – Mr Tiger & his son who are very successful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy some kinds of fruits from his garden & home made rice wine while listening to the traditional music. Last visiting is the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Return to our boat just short ride to Vinh Long town, once here we also can visit local daily market with variety and colorful food too, we are partly understand how is life culture of residents in small quiet town. After lunch we all a board to heading to Ho Chi Minh City, our Mekong Delta excursion will be concluded at the hotel foyer around 5:30 pm
